Ohio EPA approves permits to allow Rumpke to expand landfill

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) - Rumpke is a step closer to expanding its landfill in Colerain Township.

On Monday, the Ohio EPA approved permits that would allow Rumpke to add around 240 acres to the existing landfill. The company says that would add about 30 years to its life.

In March, Rumpke said it was running out of space in Colerain Township and had less than four years of waste capacity left.
