Reading ancient history, empires would have neutral areas where neither side tried to gain advantage to maintain the peace. The Roman empire and the Persians did this many times. also not to be dragged into a fight because a lesser power wants protection from a stronger power that happens to have agreed to a neutral area.

Yes, and Ukraine was a destination for surrogacy pregnancies as well as for late abortion (most countries in Europe restrict abortion to the first trimester and 🇵🇱 Poland have a ban on abortion) Zelensky didn’t care about family protection nor about the exploitation of poor women etc before the war. I see a connection between between the blatant lack of respect for human lives in abortion (Russia still have high rates) and war. Mother Theresa was right….
