A few months ago, I started an art journal using a Happy Planner notebook and just decorated pages with stickers, quotes, photos, etc. It was so relaxing and forced me to stop hoarding supplies and use them. This month, I switched to using a bullet journal and I absolutely love the freedom of doing whatever I want and experimenting with different techniques like waterfall tabs and dutch-doors.

I just came across your videos and feel I’ve found a new happy place! I have loved journaling for years and have begun decorating my journals a few years ago and have branched out to multiple journals in the past couple years. This past summer, I felt God telling me to focus more on my content than what journal things belong in. I overthink and often had perfection paralysis with what to put where. So heeded His direction to simplify and combined multiple themes into a larger notebook that I decorated with shape, stickers and markers. I even have a journal that I call my “inspirnal” as it is art combining inspiring quotes/verses, junk journal pieces and ephemera sometimes in collage like format and sometimes more like your vertical spreads. I love the freedom and lack of restricted space size this allows. I do have a separate planner where I use the Ryder Carrol planning method for daily appts and to do lists. You have inspired my decorating and look forward to seeing more in the new year!✝️☮️💟☯️

I'm excited for the junk journal content! I used to make collages on my binder dividers in college and recently re-started making them in a tiny journal. I like combining scrap elements and finding themes that emerge. I have a surprising number of cut out pictures of Bon Jovi in my collage stash 😍😁
