How to Teach with Flipgrid: New Updates!

Learn how to use the new Flipgrid teacher dashboard that was released in August 2020 in order to assign work to students using topics and groups. In this week's education technology tutorial, Sam Kary of The New EdTech Classroom explains the new system for creating assignments in Flipgrid, and shows how you can use it to assign work to small groups (or whole classes) for remote or in-person instruction.

For online orchestra class I'll make a demo video of a short passage, and have students respond with videos of themselves playing the same passage. It's like round-robin solos in class-- just asynchronous.

Hi Sam, thanks so much! Love these videos and I can’t wait to check out the channel for students. I’m not using google classroom this year. I’m using seesaw this year I teach k-2. I’m thinking I can select students the same way in seesaw to create groups. I teach resource room and will have small groups and separate assignments all day.

Thanks for this... a great tutorial. But I was searching for a way to change the picture students see when entering a Topic. I can't seem to find the settings for that. Can you pls help?
