I get it, hes "light" headed. His musical perspective fuels his Creative/retro-openminded mental state. His preferences and hobbies lead him to feel stuck in a different era in time (Delerean). (Notice he's by himself throughout the entire video), thus his light dims and he fades as he sees what the future brings.
