Thank you for mentioning Only Office got it installed on my Windows PC because friends and colleagues use MS office and that has offered the best support for docx, doc, etc....

I have been using OpenOffice and then Libre Office more than a decade and I am very happy with it. MS Office look and feels slightly better, however as another commenter mentioned here, it is not worth to pay that much money only for the look.

Nowadays, I am also very excited to use Google Drive and its products as there is a strong trend towards cloud computing. And I have noticed that, for instance, Google Sheets come with lots of new and interesting features, which will beat MS Excel in the near future, I believe.

I was really reluctant with Libre Office because I was so used to MS Office, but once I took some time to learn how to configure it and customize it the way I wanted, I discovered that I actually like it better. I switched fully to Libre last year and haven't looked back yet!

Thank you. I didn't know what I was going to do with MS student office changing and I hate paying every year. There was a sense of security having a disc I could buy and load when needed for any and all computers. I'm also grateful for the comments from alternative users.

I use LibreOffice at the home, office, and everywhere I work. it just lacks cloud integration, but we still use it. Microsoft Office is complete trash after they moved to a subscription-based pricing model. Adobe did the same, so I switched to GIMP and Inkspace, just a few weeks ago switched to Ubuntu because Windows 10 updates were taking a too long time in my working hours. Now living a peaceful life, productivity has increased. Open Source environment is much better than the Paid ones.

Oh and in addition to my previous comment why can't we just buy Microsoft Excel and Word without all the other stuff we don't use? If the home user just needs those two then that would lower his/her bill. Nod if you agree haha!

What Microsoft could really do is to provide a free basic version of their Office Suite that comes together with Windows 10 (that the user can also uninstall if he/she wills it).

LibreOffice is my choice for home, but in office I work in MS Office.

Using LibreOffice for the past 2 years. Utilized for some projects. It is compatible with MS Office and works just fine. For basic to mid-level usage, one can easily migrate to LibreOffice from MS Office without any trouble. The only thing is that the interface might take some time to used to. Help is available in the internet, you will get proficient with it in no time.

I adopted what it's call today Libre Office, since it was still called Star Office. I never regreted it, it's better than MS Office in many ways.

Open Office AKA Libra Office has a perfectly useable GUI. It is so close to perfect that any change will likely be for the worse.

Thank you. I was out of DL's/product keys, with my Office 2013 professional + disc. The pricing for Office was a bit high. I am so glad I found your site. I DL'ed Libre Office, great alternative. Thanks again.

Pretty good. I ever used Microsoft Office, but it's so expensive. Then my friend refers the WPS Office to me and it's very powerful. In face, WPS Office has released WPS Office 2019 which is more powerful than 2016.
