What I loved about the hydro is it played back 95% of my library back amazingly. Very forgiving. I used uuud config and added 2db to around 500hz as I felt it was slightly lacking in vocal weight. Also using spinfit short wide bore tips

I hooked up the the questyle M15 to the samsung S24 ultra and it sounds better than my shanling M6 ultra (to my ears ) the hydro is the best KZ/CCA iem released to date imo

I have one and it is definitely the best CCA I've heard, although I do like the Trio as well.

Great review, I’ve been waiting on this one, my only beef with sets like Rhapsody and Hydro is I end up with option paralysis pulling them out and flipping switches. TBH, I’m saving my coin for Micheal Bruce’s first in house production iem set the SBDM set. With dna from the Dark Magician and Softears Twilight I have very high hopes for sure. Peace brother..✌️

Correct that CCA/KZ shouldn't be bundling the absolute garbage stock cable with their more expensive IEM when the 784 core cables sound so much better.

The large shell they use lacks contouring where it rests in the back of the concha which gives me hot spots pretty damn quickly so I can't wear them for long.

They've definitely tamed the treble in recent sets but it's still metallic/sharp to my ears.

IMO the Separation and Coherence are not Up to the job, bass and treble lacking no matter how you eq, switches, nothing helps.
