I have ALS and I can tell you... I have nothing left that I wish I'd done. And the BEST things I did? Also the most terrifying. Not like jumping out of a plane terrifying.... like, "This could change my life" terrifying.

When I moved across the country for school in 1988, the preparations were fun and exciting. Putting the key in the ignition to actually go? Terrifying.

I never went back.

Getting my first book published? Terrifying.

If I've learned anything it's that DOING those scary things results in the most amazing life experiences... ALWAYS DO THEM. :) That thing you've always wanted to do? For God's sake do it now. You don't want to be on your deathbed 50 years from now with that thing still on your list of "to-do" items.

You don't want to be on your way home from work and get nailed in a car accident, look down at your body and think. "There's no way I'm going to make it."
