Got mine yesterday. I much, much prefer the leather. These are cheaper to make too, so there's no excuse for charging us the same price they did for the leather.

I’ve used leather cases from Bullstrap because they patina very well. The fine woven cases are probably very prone to fingernail scratches and peeling.

Titanium Grey baby with Apple clear case for me as I don’t trust these ones. Always had both leather and silicone. Even the colours don’t impress me😢

These cases are such a disappointment, I buy the leather case every year and love them so much. Was forced to buy a silicone case this year. Leather is a by-product of an industry that’s not going anywhere any time soon, it’s very environmentally friendly and is lovely to hold, I think they’ve made a big mistake.

How is the fine woven, from a “Grip” perspective? Silicone to me has a nice grip in the hand, but it falls apart relatively quick. At least in my experience.

I took some time to check them out in my local Apple store. The FineWoven really doesn't feel premium.
I'd rather go for a silicon but I will definitely check other brands.

I always loved the leather cases for the feel in your hands and the unique patina when they age. Now I need to look for a third party one. I doubt this one is going to age well.

Very disappointed with these. It just feels and looks cheaper. It's a marketing scheme to use cheaper materials and ask the same price and think about environment for customers to buy them

The fine woven cases are not it. The fact that it’s not all one piece makes it seem cheap. Doesn’t look anything like the quality I expect from Apple. While I did like the old leather ones I’ve always slightly preferred the silicon. Glad they’re still an option.

Apple wallet test?

I can’t stand the silicone cases my Apple wallet likes to rotate clockwise or counter clockwise just enough to trigger me, lol. The leather cases provide just enough friction to keep the wallet in place. How’s the wallet on the fine woven case?

In the video you said the sides of the finewoven case are made of plastic. I've seen a close-up shot somewhere that looked like it was some woven, but maybe a different fabric material and/or a different weaving pattern. Can you post a close-up of your cases for comparison?

Look closely, the edges ARE fine woven but they have a coating on them. I agree I’d rather have leather but I can not stand Apple’s silicone cases so I am trying out fine woven for now.

Disappointed. The metal buttons are not lining up right and it’s occasionally and randomly pushing the buttons on both sides.

Mmm I must say I‘m curious. Is there a difference in weight between the FineWoven and silicone case? The silicone cases always seemed chunkier and rather slim and light as possible.
