Great testing Chuck, as always. Looks like the rendering of the central reservation changes as the morning sun moves around and the shadow cast by trees starts to confuse the vision. We can see in later looping tests (even in 360p) the yellow line in the visualisation sometimes crosses the whole central reservation, meaning the path planner at times has no path across to the other side. Vision overrides the mapping.

Loved the situation with the cyclist. Very interesting and a clear example of something that is not yet good enough, but probably will be within a short time. You gave auto pilot just enough time to try and handle the situation by itself. Love the videos Chuck. Cheers from Denmark

Still 360p quality. I'll check back in later.

Good to see significant improvement on that left.

At 12:15 the path shifts to the left to avoid a parked car which is relatively far away and not yet rendered, which gives me hope that it can see far enough for the forward-facing unprotected left scenario.

I wish they would separate out the FSD profile options and offer the following options: Rolling Stops (on and off) | Passing (Chill, Average, Aggressive) | Follow Distances (uses the same 1-7 scale as Autopilot) | Acceleration Boost for Merging and Resuming (Chill, Average, Aggressive). This way you can dial in what works best for your area. For me, I can then select Rolling Stops (ON) | Passing (Chill) | Follow Distances (Manually select 2-7 scale as Autopilot) | Acceleration Boost for Merging and Resuming (Aggressive). Basically I'd like it to drive assertively but be more chill about constantly changing lanes.

We know they can fix the looping. I'm not too worried!

At 12:07 there is a stop sign on the left side of the street facing the car. FSD briefly renders the stop sign but otherwise ignores it where previously (in other videos like Chicago) I've seen it was tripped up (slowing or stopping). This is at the intersection of Challen and Riverside. There is a small triangle shaped park on your left and Oak St. runs diagonally on the left of the park ending at Challen-Riverside intersection. I'm not sure that if FSD was ever confused by that sign in your past tests but It was nice to see that it saw it and rolled on. Nice video and great testing. It might be nice to take Oak st at some point and see how it handles that intersection.

I think it keeps going to the right because the crossing road is too wide and it can't see the far side well enough enough of the time to be confident there's a road there. Which would be a big problem!

If only you were reading comments on previous videos...
25:55 The car clearly (by mistake) thinks that it is in left-only lane. The tentacle says that it has no other option but turn left.
So, it tries to change the lane to the right, which should allow going straight.

08:46 am I seeing it wrong? There was no digital speed limit. It was a physical limit and the digital information was just your current speed.

Oh, I'm so early that I don't get to watch it in HD lol

31:26 bikes traffic on the right, and since FSD committed to enter intersection, then decision to turn right is safe.
(i.e. it became safer now, still one crash due to incorrect acceleration)

Pretty sure the car thought you were in a left turn lane for that one intersection where it briefly showed a left turn and then changed lanes to the right.

I got 10.3 this morning. It has been running into yard debris a lot. I need to take over every time wheñ I see a mountain of leaves. Otherwise, it would run into it every time.

Path prediction goes much further now, brake lights detection seems improved as well

I have a 99 and well over 100 miles but no beta :( not sure if I am missing something, all the information I have is from Elon tweets haha. Guess I will have to wait a bit more. Thanks for the video Chuck.

Regarding flashing yellows - noticed that my car model Y stops for them however you’re doesn’t. Interesting…

Very interesting. To me, I have no problem at all if it wants to go right and reroute if there is enough traffic it can't safely handle it -- BUT it should reroute, not loop.

It will also be interesting to see how much that behavior changes in chill vs. average vs. aggressive mode. And that could change over time in each mode as the software makes progress.

I think it's very hard to say WHAT the actual underlying issue / logic is without more testing. Remember, when you're interrupting / taking over each loop, it's not repeatedly looping. Maybe it would reroute itself and fix it, which would be fine, IMO.

Seems pretty good except near the end.
