'Under UPA govt, gas cylinder cost was...': Rahul Gandhi slams PM Modi in Assam

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi released the party manifesto for Assam. Congress' five guarantees are highlights of the vision document. The law to nullify Citizenship Amendment Act is part of Congress’ promises. Rs 2,000/month to housewives, 200 units free power per month have also been promised. Cong says it'll give 5 lakh govt jobs and hike tea garden wage to Rs 365. Gandhi also addressed election rallies in Assam's Jorhat and Digboi. Congress is leading the grand alliance of AIUDF, Left, AGM and BPF. Assam will vote in 3 phases between March 27 and April 6. Results will be announced on May 2. Watch the full video for more.

During UPA regime, it took 1 to 1.5 months to get a booked gas cylinder and no, it needed lot more than ₹400 in Assam. And if the matters turn worse, a booked cylinder would be sold to some else at higher price at atleast ₹900 to ₹1200. It so happened a no. of times that we had to wait for like 3 - 3.5 months to get a gas cylinder. In mean time we had to a stock kerosene to cook on a wick stove.
