DJI Stories - Live Streaming with 'Air+Style'

No one knows more about pairing "air" and "style" better than DJI, so it was only fitting that they partnered with ESPN and Shaun White to livestream White's 'Air+Style Sports Competition and Music Festival' live for the world to see.

The first sports broadcast of its kind, DJI worked directly with ESPN to use the Inspire 1 as their go-to aerial camera to catch all of the most heart-stopping air tricks and launches from high atop a 150-foot ramp.

This unprecedented use of DJI's cutting edge technology is now at the forefront of changing the way broadcast journalism is executed, filmed, and viewed forever.

All aerial cinematography at this event was executed by permitted and FAA exempted pilots.

Can you please explain how dji was able to use drone footage commercially? There has to have been hoops to jump through.

Maybe somebody at DJI can enlighten us as to how they kept the coverage continuous because I'm getting only 10-15 minutes of flight time on my P2? Did you use multiple copters and switch off, have some type of modified battery or what? I mean I can't believe that one battery powering the whole unit plus the signal output is staying up for longer than 15 minutes?

Man someone give me a job doing this lol. Considering I already own three different quads a phantom 1, phantom 2 vision and a 3DR iris+. I'm in the wrong hey guys need a pilot?

woulda been so much better (good?) if we could have seen the athletes for longer than two seconds at a time... :(  and do we really need to see the guys talking? voice overs woulda been much better, imho.

To bad a Drone pilot has to have a real pilot licenses to do this.
FACT  in the USA. you can not sell or promote your videos taken by a drone with out the OK from the FAA.  a license is required,   You will be fined,
