Judge hands down carefully designed sentence for Sean Phillips

Sean Phillips will spend up to 45 years in prison after he was found guilty of second-degree murder in the death of his daughter Baby Kate. (Dec. 9, 2016)

Rest in peace little sweetheart. I just can not comprehend how a parent does not fall in love with their own baby the instant your eyes meet. I'm scared of dying but would give my life in a second for my child.

Not long enough! Not by a long shot. This defendant took a small, defenseless and innocent baby and did, "god knows what!" to this baby. I feel very little sympathy for the mother as well. There's just something about her I don't trust. But what angers me most is that the judge in this case feels there was no planning on the defendant's part is, Ridiculous! And as far as all the suffering that they keep going on about in court is that, the only suffering that matters here is the horrible suffering that baby kate experienced. God keep baby Kate.

If that was the judges child and he got blamed for the murder that creep committed would he give the same sentence. Or if that was his grandchild and it was his daughter and granddaughter that went through this. This judge should serve alongside him for the lack of respect he shows for the taking of a defenseless persons life and blaming the one person that will be Haunted by this for the rest of her days. These judges need to show accountability. Or be made accountable. They make it way to easy for evil people to be evil.

He was already serving a 10-15 years verdict for wrongful imprisonment of his daughter, so this was during that period. Then the judge sentenced him to 19-45 years for the second degree murder. Not sure it’s going to run concurrent, but the judge did also calle SP “not evil”, so...

Wow the judges opinion of a baby killer makes me sick. What does he know if the guy is evil or not ? He won’t even tell anyone where the baby is. For all we know he could have raped her and thrown her body away. No one will ever know the truth of where her remains are and how she died or maybe he sold her. Who knows. Only god knows and god would say that is evil!
