Progress in prevention and treatment means more Americans are surviving cancer than ever before — but not everybody is benefitting equally. Black women still have a 40% higher risk of dying from breast cancer and Black men have a 111% higher risk of dying from prostate cancer than their white counterparts. Hispanics are twice as likely to die from stomach cancer than non-Hispanic white people.
