To say that Nalbandian loses control here, is the same as saying that McEnroe, in his time, killed people with the racquet.

The video should be: 'David Nalbandian Keeps His Cool'

The video should be called "The crowd loses control but globally doesn't have a clue of what's happening and just want to see the rest of the game"

1st mistake incorrect overrule
2nd mistake Not being loud and clear to Nalbandian
3rd mistake Not allowing a challenge thus slowing the game down even more

''David Nalbandian Loses Control"? Why isn't the title about the umpire's disastrous decision?

oh yeah i totally remember this one. still the worst case of umpiring ive witnessed to date. by a long way

both players clearly signaled straight away that they wanted to challenge, before the initial confusion on what the call/overrule actually was. and even if youd missed that, i mean come on, this is basically a match point for nalbandian, in what universe would he NOT challenge that? its got to be obvious to everyone and their mother that hes going to challenge. then, when nalbandian realizes that the call was overruled he again says "challenge" twice, right away, loud and clear. and then when nothing happens he say "challenge" again and the umpire goes "sorry, its too late to challenge now". that was ridiculous.

and also extremely poor sportsmanship from isner. i know its not his job to correct the umpire but i would expect a true sportsman to do that anyway. why not let him have the challenge? if it was good it was good. nothing changes. if it was out, its a2nd serve, and rightfully so, because it was out. the only reason for isner to not want nalbandian to be able to challenge that is because you think it may have been out yourself, but you want to hit another 1st serve even if you do not seserve to have one. imo, a true competitor would not want to win a point because of a wrong call, no matter at what stage of the match.

Agreed. In Australia if you show any kind of negative emotion or passion, people treat you like you're insane. It's like a disease...

But Nalbandian has a fair point. The reason I think he took a while long is that he wasn't clear who made what call. Crowd think it's an ace, go nuts. The linesperson calls out, then the umpire overrules while the cheering continues (ludicrously I might add - it was at least an inch wide). It's not as if he spent 15 seconds staring at the line before deciding...

Judging by todays Queens final, he is clearly a really calm man that can handle frustrating times :D

The people in the crowd imitating his gestures is the funniest part for me.
