least best?? Really, I thought it was one of the better shows. With the exception of Shayna baszler vs mia Yim - the rest of the matches I'd give 4 stars or above

I loved the hell out of this show. I am confused by this title. Best women's match of the year with Io/Candice, the triple threat excelled, very fun tag opener, and a little bloated but very epic main event. Mia/Shayna was the only one that was a little slow, but I thought even that match picked up and had a solid finish. Another top notch show for me.

They just said least best of the last 18 months in the intro. Thats comparing about 8-9 takeovers. And having one not-so-good match in it does make it the lesser of them. Still 5/5 show.

I disagree Much with these Statement.
In my opinion it was the second best Takeover of the year.
And Gargano v. Cole could be my MOTY so far.
I really loved it.


Only the Baszler v. Yim match was a let down.

I was there live at Toronto and live at Phoenix, I think Toronto was a much better show than Phoenix, but maybe watching it on tv gives a different experience for those shows.

I didn’t see this title coming. I’ve been less interested in other takeovers.

The triple threat and the main event on my opinion are “Match of the year” contenders. The tag team match was absolutely great.

It really speaks for the quality of NXT when a Takeover that's still really good compared to most wrestling shows is considered weak in comparison to the other Takeovers.

For the Baszler v Yim match I also had issues getting into it. Story wise I was having issues. Baszler was a beast before Dukes and Shafir. Her not having those two at ringside shouldn't have played into it. Also how was I supposed to get behind a babyface that was pulling dirty tactics every other move not to mention mugging Dukes and Shafir with no real motivation other than premtive strike. Baszler also looked really tired and lacked energy. Least favorite match of the night. Still not on the unwatchable level, just miss the Shayna of old

I thought the Yim-Bazler match was done pretty well. It wasn't built up much but yim using her dirty tactics and anything to win really talks about her charecters vs bazler using her submissive and more tactical approach to it.

4:23 Yeah, Oli's right; you can't say that when no one was invested in Io vs. Candace. And I stand by my opinion that Mia Yim is too green. Can't get invested in her matches, unlike Candace and Io. Yes, the story was much more involved with Io, but the crowd wasn't into it at all. But the two got them into it before long. Not the same with Mia Yim. She's a bit stiff, imo, and her character doesn't come through in her wrestling.
