As a German I strongly agree with your stance on that topic. Also I find it deeply disturbing how people abuse the history of my country for their political agenda. Actually this lady is only a mild case of this phenomenon. It‘s quite common in the German media to compare literally every point of the right with nazism. So - as bad as it sounds - we are used to this kind of rhetoric, but we see simultaneously how it harms our society, because many people are so blinded by their fear that they don‘t recognise the people who could actually drive our country in a similar direction.

My father barely got out of Poland during the Holocaust. His mother and other family were not so lucky and ended up in a concentration camp. While anti-semitism is definitely on the rise, I pray it doesn’t go even close to another Holocaust. It’s nowhere near that now so calm down. Though the Queers for Palestine bug me the most.

This is so utterly disrespectful to the millions of innocent lives that were taken by the entire holocaust and to the many veterans also that lost their lives (rip. Rip to my Great Grandfather that served in WWII also) and vets that are still alive today and the people that actually made it out of the holocaust. Oh and to Germany as a country now.
