Especially for the lower classes, it is hard for them to gain and retain money.

Indexation for inflation with capital gains tax is not a new concept..in Australia its been around for decades and anyone who owns a house or shares benefits from it. You won’t find the middle class complaining about it.

Of course cap gains should be indexed for inflation. And it would surely be so, if most of the electorate understood that only government can create the inflation in the first place. That being the case, taxing it, when (by definition) no increase in real income is present, is quite fraudulent, and a significant moral hazard.

The government does not even allow indexing for inflation on Social Security. They exclude Food. Fuel. Energy Cost and Housing.. The top 4 that bleed savings and income..

But some how. The government employees COLA does include nice. It only cost the tax payers $2.5 trillion a year. To cover their salary. Pension Fund. Premium Medical etc.. Every Year!

instead of another multi billion giveaway to doners, why not cut all taxes under 50-75k/year and implement a financial transaction tax.
