Wow, these were really close! 1dB will not be noticeable by most people, usually takes closer to 3dB to be able to "hear" the difference. Either way, fun and educational video. Great job!

Run all 3 and see if you actually get more or not. Everyone says don't mix sub sizes.

Love this video. Nobody does content like this. What people actually want too see. Keep up the good work Parker 🎉

Thanks for doing a 15 comparison with two 12s. That's one of the things I've been thinking about.

Wow, Great comparison test. The 15" gives close to the same output if not more for less power consumption.

2 basic 12's are equal to 1 good ass 15"? That's what I'm getting from this.

A lot of people with this exact idea in their mind could benefit from being subbed to your channel. I remember seeing this kind of question with 2x10 vs 1x12, and 2x12 vs 1x15, whether on the old forums or on FB groups. I enjoyed this video. I think for some it could boil down to their trunk and whether they want to sacrifice the length of their trunk and have a slimmer depth with a pair or have a square shaped single sub and still have half the trunk, or the height of a single 15 wouldn’t clear the trunk

Love the content...so many people have these questions daily and it's so hard to find answers. A lot of times it's expensive to experiment. It's so much easier to look up a video with real-world results. Keep up the great work and bass on basshead

Great comparison Parker. Quite a few people have asked me this question over the years. One major advantage to a single sub is needing less power, equating to no need to upgrade charging system, which is a big expense.

This also shows you that the 15" took less power and gave out more spl than the two 12s also i like the fact that you kept them in the same brand

When I had my sub setup was running a single DC Audio Neo Elite 15" on a Dc Audio 5k soundlab in a ported box.
It was awesome, had to upgrade the alternator, ran an extra yellowtop in the trunk, ran 8 guage from sub to amp & 2 guage throughout the vehicle. Could only bump hard for 10 mins before needing a cooldown 😢

I wish you would have tested the difference between 25hz and 30hz. I wonder if the 15 would substantially pull ahead the lower you go in hertz. One or two decibels in basically a tie on the daily. Thanks for the vids.

LOVE THE SCIENTIFIC TYPE VIDEOS!!!! Went with 1 good 15" this time but I definitely plan on doing some more experimenting for the summer

2 Evl 12s vs 1 Evl 15 on the same power and then max power would be very interesting. Do it!

Would love to see one beefy 15" vs 2 weaker 15", would they be the sameish or would cone area beat raw power.

Here in South Africa we actually have Toyota minibus taxis with six 15 inch subs on a daily😵‍💫

I would like to see 2 8s vs 1 12. Thanks Parker.

I have two 15” DDS SKAR subs couldn’t fit in my Caddy. Had to buy one single 12 tube by SKAR. Sounds loud and good but not the same. The 15’s not only sounded better, you actually feel the shaking of the subs and the car vibrates as well. The 12” woofer sounds good but no feeling behind it. 😢
