Good advice. We lose water every time we lose power (we have a well). Luckily we have a creek on our property. We have to haul water from the creek to flush the toilets.

Same idea for an incoming storm. Fill the 5gal buckets in the bathrooms.  Load up  containers put them in the fridge.  Also fill up ice trays, and containers for the freezer. I keep a hose with multiple hoses attached allowing filling of multiple containers at once.
