Imagine a fleet of enemy ships surfing a tidal wave towards your sunken fortress. No wonder Yu Jin’s men surrendered. Thanks for the video.

Poor Emperor Xie, no matter who wins, he still ends up a puppet.
Between that and Sun Quan being such an interchangeable Ally/Enemy it's no wonder the South never strategically had lasting chances of defeating the North.

I can’t properly express why I love Pang De’s valiant fight, his retreating until he physically couldn’t, and refusal to join Guan Yu, I just do, love that man, maybe because of my inherent attraction to lesser known characters who maybe had one or two good moments but completely went all out on the execution, like Shen Pei’s defence of Ye

After this stalemate, guan yu should've regroup first and capitalize the 30k troops from yu jin before doing another northern campaign. He just get free 30k soldiers at Jiangling. Build up the food for 2 years while settle them to Shu and do another northern campaign together with Liu Bei from Hanzhong.

So many attacks and rebellions must not have been good for Cao Cao’s health must have made his tumor situation even worse

I didn't know the Halo franchise was involved in 3K lore

ST, how do you rate Guan Yu as a general and strategist, rather than simply an excellent individual fighter? Anticipating the flood and it's effect may seem obvious in hindsight, but must been something of a gamble at the time.

Great video as always 👍

If pang de submit again, he would look dishonorable

i will get so much hate for this, but i usually consider guan yu a bit overrated. in terms of prowess and martial skill he seemed to be almost unmatched.. however his strategies and command skills never seemed that great at all.. glad to hear of him actually using his brain to win some battles

So Sima Yi was somewhat the mastermind behind Guan Yu's death.

What would have happened if Guan Yu decided to withdraw to Nan after crushing Yu Jin's 30, 000 strong army? By now, even he has realized that he's facing a difficult task. He can call it a victory because although he couldn't capture Xiangyang and Fancheng, he had done great damage to Cao Cao's army and killed one of Cao Cao's generals.

what if Guan Yu didn't die in this battle will history change forever for Shu force. Especially for the Long Zhong plan.
