Firebase Air Regulator Relief Valve Demo

The firebase air regulator by redline airsoft has this convenient high flow air relief valve, should there be a malfunction in the tank regulator. If the pressure spikes to high, the valve will begin to hiss, and then vent (rather violently I might add, which is a very good thing). Venting happens at about 140-145psi, and the total relief happens at about 150-155psi.

In this quick clip, you see it venting to the point of hissing, where the pressure remains constant as it should be, not going over 140psi or so. If it hits that 150psi or so mark, be prepared. The noise is incredibly loud, and the air vents VERY fast.

Why is this a good thing? You are carrying a 4500psi bomb against your spinal column. Would you rather dump a tank of air and make some noise or be a paraplegic for life? Your choice, but I think it should be rather obvious...

One note, the easiest and fastest way to stop it from venting is to simply close off (unscrew) the UFA. This is far faster than digging out a hex key and trying to ram it in the adjustment hole (remember, it's only dirty if you make it dirty) to stop the air flow. By the time you do that, your tank will be empty anyway.
