Nancy Pelosi blames Joe Biden for Democrats’ election loss | BBC News

Former US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi has said Democrats might have seen more success in the US election if President Joe Biden had quit the race sooner.

The party was beaten in the race to the White House by Republican Donald Trump, and finger pointing has began.

Pelosi - one of the most powerful politicians in Washington - told the New York Times that "had the president gotten out sooner, there may have been other candidates in the race".

She is widely reported to have led the Democrats’ push to oust Biden, who ended up leaving the race at the end of July after weeks of pressure, before he quickly endorsed Vice-President Kamala Harris to take his place.

I have lost all respect for Nancy Pelosi. Instead of the Democratic leaders respectfully approaching Biden as they saw him aging, they chose to wait until after the debate to rip him apart.Many of them knew he was having difficulties and could have handled this privately. Bottom Line: The reasons for her loss are many, such as inflation, lockdowns, mandates, open borders, expanded Govt control, dishonesty, incompetency, corruption, antisemitism, catholophobia, disdain for middle class American's, etc., etc. However, the single biggest reason for KH's loss was KH. The woman had a 29% approval rating as VP (worst in American history), a 93% turnover rate amongst her staff, zero skill set or qualifications, and was a phony and insincere as the day is long. Calling KH a political hack would be an insult to the political hacks.

First ...with Biden "should've gone sooner" ..and the next .."we'd have had more time to find another candidate" as though Kamala wasn't the right choice, in her opinion.
