Probably all automotive guys commenting negatively, your doing a fine job, never had a problem doing it that way

Just did that a couple of weeks ago on my Subaru Forester. In my case it was a failed release bearing. Did the clutch, pressure plate, & pilot bearing for good measure.

I love all the YouTube mechanics sitting on their couch telling old boy he's doing it all wrong 😂😂

I never had to deal with automatics in my day... or pee bottles... or exhaust burners... I got out at the right time

If you’ve replaced a clutch on an Endurant transmission, you know that clutch is not light 😂😂. Good shit 👏🏻

Instead of removing the LCA to reset it next time just reset it when the trans is down. I use a long half inch extension

Did help a lot in special the air actuator reset,

I’m a full time diesel mechanic and what I do is insert the pressure plate first than have the clutch on a on the alignment tool and manhandle it up to the release bearing

Yup. When it keeps trying to do 4th gear starts even AFTER I manually tell it I want second, I can see you guys getting good at doing these. When there’s a perfectly good shifter and 18 gears underneath it, you rarely use the damn clutch, other than to start and stop. The way I see it, if you can’t handle a manual transmission, it’s likely you’ll manage to destroy the auto-shift AND the rest of the truck it’s attached to.

I installed a million 15" clutch's but not a push type diaphram.

A lot easier to just put in service mode with a half inch extension, have to remove the yolk and throw out bearing anyway and leaving the LCA in the tranny, endurance def are the easiest to remove though.

Does anyone use a cross hatch pattern anymore? Why not?

Ha. That motor and trans must be out of the truck on the ground. Ain't that kinda room under my trucks. That's a big trans tunnel. 😜😜 and that tranny was nice and clean
Ahh. Just wishing. Good job.

Eaton 12 speed endurant, seen plenty of them with countershaft or clutch failure
