Awww, man, wish I had seen this sooner. Journey To Silius' soundtrack is phenomenal and I fully believe it can stand up there with the best of its generation and still hold its own among many titles that came after it - even today. Sunsoft's bass was a big part of that. The engineers took on an unenviable task of making the compositions work with the limitations of the time. The game turned out alright too.

The DPCM reverse bit order phenomenon discovery still blows me away. I never would have thought Sunsoft bass samples had this clean sound hidden within, but here we are. It's like finding the statue in the marble.

Fun fact about this game! Before they chose "Journey to Silius" to be the international title it was going to be "Operation SSS" and it is referred as that wip name once in the manual!

After all those years listening to the original song on the NES, It sounds so different now with the bit reversed bass!

I wonder if anything can be done to fix the pitch issues with DPCM... the pitch goes sharper or flatter depending on how high or low the note is.

I've been wondering about NES Bit Flips in Sample channel. Was it a bug, intentional choice or them not even realizing that something was going wrong?

Serious question here. On these, I always notice that the triangle is not a perfect triangle! it's oddly curved. And the square isn't a perfect square either, it's also curved a bit! Can you explain?
