1. Give your self extra time to travel as you may not be able to travel at full road speed if the snowstorm is bad.
2. Break twice as early and don't break hard so you don't slide or need to have the cars antilock breaks engage.
3. Accerate gently so you don't loose traction.

4:07 He said hummer. This is some serious foreshadowing.

You forgot to add that you need non freezing blinker fluid

Also turn your traction control off if you get stuck or your wheels start spinning too much

I can't tell you how many people I've been able to dig out with nothing more than that folding shovel over the years. It's such an invaluable tool that will pay for itself over and over and over again.

I thought some people might find useful especially if you're going to be moving your car into a cold climate for a couple weeks is, add an engine block heater to your car. and make sure your washer fluid is not specialized for removing bugs but with a very low freezing point specialized for the cold.
if you're going to be driving in the snow a lot get winter tires if you're going off road or way up North, consider getting Tire chains.
Glow sticks, flairs or pylons are an extra touch butt still worth getting.

Very surprised you forgot to mention having winter/rubber floor mats. This is one of the most important things because if you're constantly tracking snow into your vehicle and it's being absorbed into the carpeting in the floor, your car is going to rust very quickly underneath.

The jacket and thermals are great and so is water and batteries, but the water and batteries become useless if they're cold enough.  I put the water and batteries in the the warm gear to keep them insulated.

Chris said slide in a Hummer 5 years ago, then bought one.
Awesome inspiration to all of us in the motoring community.
Started my own YouTube channel thanks to Chris!

one tip from me if you have better tires use them dont be that guy going out in a snowstorm with slicks bad idea
most times you can go to wallmart and get a good set of at tires for around $250 and if you have the money get very good tires and use them for winter only
couple more tips
1. if you have locking diffs use them if you are stuck they might give you a better hope of getting unstuck easily
2. open diffs? if you are stuck put you foot on the gas partially look on ur spedometer around 10-25 keep it there then pull the emergency brake rapidly while still having the foot on the gas
3. if you have a truck what i would do is put some weight in the back of the bed that helps with traction
4. if you have a 4wd or awd vehicle make sure to use it that a 2wd car or truck
5. if you are stuck and you have rubber floor mats put them under your tires they help give extra traction
6. only use 4x4 low if needed
7. if you vehicle is an automatic put it in 1 or 2 if you are stuck to give you lower gear ratios
8. use your hazzard lights if you are stuck as well if you are going slowly while in a blizzard
9. some times traction control is getting in your way of getting unstuck or even getting you stuck turn it off if you are stuck
10. buckle up and be safe
all of this is coming from a off road master (not really a master but very good at it)

We have almost the same load out, though I have a pair of snow pants and MREs as my food. I'd also throw in a fire starting device that the driver is competent with.
