Welcome to the first lesson on the topic of forces and friction!
This lesson takes a deeper look at the idea of resolving forces into components. As an alternative to resolving forces, sometimes we may be able to use the cosine rule with forces that are able to be arranged in a "force triangle"; this, too, is explored here.
This lesson is meant as preparation for Exercise 5A, page 94 of the Pearson Edexcel Statistics and Mechanics Year 2/A2 Textbook.
