How To DEFEAT TARON MALICOS 🔥 - Jedi Boss Guide! - STAR WARS JEDI FALLEN ORDER - Dathomir

On Planet Dathomir you meet Taron Malicos, a former Jedi Master who turned to the Dark Side and is determined to make Dathomir your last resting place.

Taron Malicos uses two lightsabers and attacks you with a flurry of slashes and spinning attacks. Whenever you get close he also uses a Force Push or starts throwing boulders at you. He sometimes even throws away one of his lightsabers. When this happens he attacks you with the other one, and pulls his second lightsaber back to attack you from the side or your behind. The best option is to keep moving, and make sure the lightsaber doesn`t fly behind you so you won`t take an unexpected hit. Taron Malicos’ Unblockable Attacks include this powerful Overhead Slash … and a Spinning Slash.

The best way to get through this fight is to go on the offense and keep attacking him to break his stamina bar. His parrying defense is actually quite weak, as you can see here. Combine this with your force push and he becomes a manageable threat.

The best tactic to beat Taron Malicos is by taking an aggressive stance and keep attacking him to break his Stamina and Stance bar. Attack him head on and block his incoming attacks and keep repeating this. Parrying is the best way to get through. Getting the timing right for parrying is the key here. Combine this with your Force Push and he becomes a manageable threat.

Once Taron Malicos loses half of his health you will see that Merrin - one of the sole surviving Nightsisters - assist you with her magick. From here on Taron Malicos uses more attacks. He starts throwing his right and left saber at you one after the other. You can block these, but beware – directly after this he usually follows up with an unblockable Lunge Attack.

In this part of the fight he also throws multiple boulders at you instead of individual ones. Evade the first one by rolling to the left, the second one by rolling to the right and the middle ones by rolling to any side. After a while he throws all three blocks, which you can avoid by rolling sideways as well. This will leave some dust in front of you, which masks him when he is running towards you. So be extra careful when this happens.

Once again keep breaking his Stamina/Stance bar by blocking or parrying his attacks. Continue attacking him, and repeat this step in combination with the Force Push. This tactic should help you beat Taron Malicos much faster.

What worked for me was when he starts walking towards you then runs at you right before his double slash attack hit him with slow avoid the slash run behind him and hit him L1 Square or any other hits you want. Towards the end of the fight when he gets fast and violent when the Sister hits him use your healing stims.

I was beaten by this boss approximately 40 times while I was playing on "Quality Mode" on my Xbox with a lower frame rate. I pondered what a difference it might make if I swapped it to "performance" mode with 60fps. The result was that I beat him on my first attempt in this mode. It made the game significantly more responsive to my attempts to parry. I see a lot of strategies mentioned in the comments section, but it's amazing what a good setting change will do for your strategy.

This helped me. You really just need one perfect parry each time, then engage him immediately and do the twin sabers combo when his defenses are down. Timing the parry perfectly is key for this one.
