In the first Science Outside Your Comfort Zone talk of the series held on Wednesday 15th September 20-21, Sydney Nano's Prof Ben Eggleton presents on the topic "Nanohealth: harnessing science at the nanoscale for a healthier and sustainable future".
A panel discussion on "Bridging multidisciplinary research in nanotechnology with translational health outcomes" followed the talk.
The panel featured health and engineering experts from the University of Sydney, New South Wales Health Pathology and CSIRO including Professor Tania Sorrell, Professor Corinne Caillaud, Professor Vitali Sintchenko, Dr Laurence Wilson and Dr David Martinez-Martin.
“Science Outside Your Comfort Zone” is a new initiative of the Westmead Research Hub Council where several times a year we will invite an eminent scientist to Westmead to give a talk on an issue of science and research that are not commonly considered among medical researchers such as nanoscience, particle therapy or quantum computing.
