Tuning up and making the first cuts on the Jet 8" helical head jointer! All adjustments are easy to make and it holds the adjustments very well. The helical head cuts buttery smooth as well! This is a dream jointer for me and am really looking forward to showing it cut some crazy figured wood! Check out these tools on our website -

My dad passed away last year and i inherited all his carpentry tools, ALL OF THEM. from the table saw to the jointer and the drillpress, mitre box, small hand tools, etc. I enjoyed watching you square up the jointer fences and seeing the helical head. Seemed like dad's second most used tool after his hammer 🔨 was his speed square 📐 thanks for refreshing these memories 🎉

Seriously awesome video. Every tool channel needs
"tune up" videos for the equipment they demo. No one starts with knowing everything about every tool.

Doing your set up FULLY UNPOWERED AND SAFED!! 🎉🎉🎉 more folks need to not have equipment energized when doing set up.

Hey, maybe the guys at Tools Today would know. We have an older General International
jointer that looks like an old green version of that Jet. Was General bought out or become a part of Jet? It sure would make finding parts a lot easier.

I was laughing my head off the other day.. all of my reloading kit and rifles have cost me nothing these days. In fact I’ve made over 2 grand if I sell them after 15 years of use and being extremely well looked after 😂

Cool table, but i don't like the multiple tooth like blades, hard to adjust them all at the exact same height to get a good smooth cut

Maybe its build quality but i always hated this fence mechanism design. They are all out of whack, need to check for square very often, goes out of square on its own and especially if you move it . Luckily i dont really move my fence at all since i got my helical cutter, love that thing.
My dream would be a rack and pinion fence adjustment, they cost an arm and leg but im considering building one myself.
