The bigger picture is this.
She knew she wasnt going to be alive much longer and was behaving this way and pushing him to near perfection was for him to be able to sustain hi self once she was gone. The problem is, this scars her child and he reached the boiling point where she saw the love in his eues for her fade at such a young age. Poor guy.

There was a kid who was beaten like this in the staffroom one day. There was literally just a wall between our class and the room so we heard everything and i mean everything. He was a great guy but failing one exam got him demotivated, i saw it in his eyes when he walked back, thoroughly hurt and humiliated. The girls could do nothing but pretend nothing happened as he was known to hate sympathy and appology from us thoigh some of us, even i made the mistake😂😂 Honestly, the scenerio pissed me off so bad as did my mistake at appologizing that i decided to bet with him. For each exam he pass me, id pay him but if i passed him, nothing. He qas shocked at first but agreed. The first exam nothing but he improved and i teased him that he didnt want the cash. The next exam, he beat me. And the next so i paid him. The cash was a substancial amount, half my pocket money so i cancelled the deal, smiled and told him, "Now try to fail and you will be paying me the same amount." He beat me in every exam after that. Fyi, he wasnt the only one i had a deal with and i was broke every term since😂😂I did get lots of treats though as thanks. I wasnt much competition honestly as a average kid. Average as in 12 out of 36 kinda average so beating me meant they were in the top 11 which in itself is impressive given the tight competition in our class😅
