My e90 MHD e30 only mod is a 7.5 Intercooler, no inlets, open stock Downpipes was neck and neck with a 2023 440i tuned . Don’t underestimate a proper n54 . It has 168k miles been tuned since 158k . Still get 26 mpg on stage 2 93.

Charge pipes, gaskets and oil catch pan...if you buy a 335i for 10k and invest $2k in preventive maintenance, you should be good to go..

"More reliable" is misleading. N55s have less minor problems (injectors, hpfp, turbos etc) than the N54, but they are a lot more likely to catastrophically fail.

Well 335i e92 is n55 from 2010-2013 and f30 is always n55, though some newer ones have a different engine revision. Other than that e90 n55 is almost as reliable as f30 n55…

Well right about now all these cars are cheap. Every f30 is cheap nowadays. When they came out. That’s when the price difference mattered. People were paying 50, 000 for a 328i with Msport package. And 335i and 340i were well above that price tag. Now. You can get a used m340i for 35, 000 - 40, 000 depending on the mileage. All f30s are going to go for under $20, 000 if you’re paying more than that. At any mileage. You’re an idiot. Now the plus. No matter what engine you get. In a f30. If it’s post 2015 production. Or has timing chain update installed It’s fairly reliable. The chassis is a little loose without bracing though. Recommend you check out rolls performance. If you own a f30. Otherwise that’s the weak point of the car. Chassis and suspension. Also couldn’t imagine driving one of these things without launch control and paddle shifts. As most of them don’t have this. I count myself blessed

Yeah but you can't build real power on n55 platform. N54 can get over 800 HP on stock block no problem. Can't do that on n55. So if you want regular to ok power n55 is the way to go. You want beast like power.. n54 platform

Bruh my 2015 335i has a rod knock at 60k miles, these cars are the biggest pos out there, would never encourage anyone to buy one, get a mercedes or an audi or a camaro if you want a race car that will work correctly every day! Can tell you this for sure cuz on top of this ive owned 5 other bmws and they were nothing but piles of garbage!

Bro called a 335i more reliable than a 340i 😂 yea okay every tuner would tell you b58 and general is better all around. Even bmw techs will tell you the most money they make on is n54s and n55s
