If you're swapping in an LS, LT or its 4.3L V6 derivative, depending on the chassis, you might be running into some crowding issues on the driver's side. Thankfully, GM offers OEM block off plates for the oil cooler, Nick goes over those options and what to look out for in today's video.

What do you do with the holes in the radiator? I have an LV3 in a 2016 Silverado 1500 LT and am considering deleting my cooler lines (was actually surprised to find out I had cooler lines in the first place).

If I put this oil cooler block off can I use a a thermostatic oil cooler sandwich plate for it and will it work the same or no? I’m trying to take my original oil cooler lines off and replace them with 10an but not block them off

What about oil capacity? I’d assume you’d be overfilled with the cooler deleted?

I have a 1997 SLP SS camaro that has the optional SLP oil cooler. I have built the engine to perform up to 7000 rpm. Would you recommend deleting the oil cooler? I was told that it can restrict oil flow at high rpm, but it was an LS guy that was saying that. My engine is a 5.7 LT4 conversion, and it has a big cam that does its thing at high rpm
