A licensed vocational nurse (LVN) is a team member of the health care delivery system, playing a vital role in providing basic nursing care to ensure patients get the quality care they need and deserve.

The Vocational Nursing program curriculum prepares graduates to perform specific nursing duties under the direction of physicians and registered nurses. Responsibilities include direct patient care in acute-care settings, community health agencies, long term care facilities and other health care institutions. Graduates of the program are eligible to apply to take the NCLEX-PN Examination to become Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVN)
