I think this was excellent, practical, and logical advice. After 100 hours of face to face meetings, if someone still doesn’t want to move the relationship forward and introduce you to people who would be your family too if a marriage happens, it’s a huge red flag.

I have been seeing a guy for over 2 years. It started online n distance now in the same state n hour away. He introduced me to his daughter who was 12 at the time via FaceTime back when we first started talking, but now that in same state we never do things when his daughter is around. Fast forward 3 months I am worth more then that n letting him go. He is not emotionally mature enough in my eyes. After I vomited my feelings about how I felt I heard from him a few days later n over a week since heard from him n 6 weeks since I have seen him. If you’ve never been to his place he may be living with another woman not his mother. I once dated a guy ( not exclusively) but he would only come to my place. He said his sister who is older than him and has kid lived with him. Then another time it slipped that she was younger than him. There was something inconsistent and suspicious about it. I stopped seeing him but I still wonder what he was hiding. I would really check into this after a year and a half!

When you really mean something to a man he wants you to be part of everything in his life including his family. No there is no excuse for not introducing her to his mom other than she is not that important in his life. I would suggest she stop wasting her time and look for somebody who wants her to be part of his entire life.

If there is a cultural expectation that he take care of his mom, maybe there is also a cultural issue if she isn’t of the same culture or religion and he doesn’t want his mother’s disapproval for those reasons

I believe it depends on the circumstances and what is right for you.
In my case, we’ve been dating for 6 months and neither of us has met our kids/parents. I’m not ready for this and neither is he. We also don’t think it’s wise to introduce our significant other to our young kids yet. Ultimately this is what works for us and our situation. 😊

Problem is also when he wants to introduce you to his mom after the 2nd date🙄 I felt that was a huge red flag!😆

Ask him the question, and hope that it really is his "mom" that he lives with. No excuse for him not inviting you to his home in 1.5 years.

It took me 4 years to at leat see his dad on a distance, lol, 2 weeks ago I was going home, and his dad came to pick him up to go moose hunting, and I saw his dad in the car. I was thrilled, and I guess his dad was too, because they have really tried to meet me, but he keep saying no.
I know from what he said abut hem that they are wonderful, I really want to meet them and get to know them .
He met my parents 3 times, and my son 4 times.
We have 5 hours distance, if someone thinks this sounds odd, and it's mostly me that goes to him because I have work there once a month.

I've been dating a guy for over 1 and half years. He continued to pursue me after he found out I was 5 months pregnant and single & decided to give the baby his name because the father denied her. I am currently 4months pregnant with his real baby. We have never been to his house, he has 3 children with another lady and I have never talked or met any of them. Good advice. My ex husband dated/lived with a woman for 3-4 years before he introduced her to our grown kids. How crazy is that??

Why on earth would anyone make a comment on what you’re wearing? Especially a derogatory comment. Who cares - if you like it, that’s all that matters. This isn’t a beauty guru channel.

I been asking him for several months now.. He has met my children and mom.. We are about to take our relationship to the next level and move in together. When I do ask I ask about every 2 months. I dont push the issue and everytime he says soon. But it hasn't happened and it's been almost 2 years. It is very confusing and concerning to me...
