This film was spectacular. The costume design, the gore, the atmosphere, just phenomenal cinematography.

Saw this completely blind. My gf brought me to the movies and we got ourselves a Scandinavian movie. Funny, being a swede living in norway. Highly recommend it. Great focus shots with captivating lighting and atmosphere. Bizarre, uncomfortable at times and somewhat true to the real story. Music is excellent, mainly by a Norwegian solo artist, Vilde Tuv.

Ok yes it is a shame that the marketing team decided to completely disregard the actual apparent aesthetics of the movie and tried to substance-ify the trailer BUT I think that’s where the comparison ends and I have a feeling I’m personally going to like this so much better!!!! I have so many thoughts ugh I can’t wait to see this 😫🤚

I think it’s the first time they use for a movie the topic of victorian period beauty treatments and standards that by his own they were very scary and twisted, so perfect for a horror movie

The trailer does NOT match the setting of the movie. Seems like they're trying to attract The Substance crowd, but they seem to miss the fact that they likely were already going to watch the movie.

I was not aware that this was a Norwegian film. That'll explain why none of the domestic trailers featured any spoken dialog, and why no local theaters showed it.
