Heel or face, Spears is such a stand up guy. You can tell he's worked hard and deserves everything he's got. I've been a huge fan of his all the way back to "Stan" 😊

Spears has to be one of my favourites as he is a good technical wrestler so hearing him talk about his mother passing is just so tough. Would be great to see him more prominent and possibly even with the world title in the future

I lost my dad 9 years ago in May. It never goes away, it just becomes the new normal. I still have times when I hear a certain song, or see a certain movie that hits me hard. I can't imagine what it's like to lose your mom, and while grieving, your wife gives birth to your first child. The lowest of lows to the highest of highs, and back and forth.

Even though Shawn lost his mom, I'm very happy that Spears and Cassie Lee (the former Peyton Royce) are parents to their first child.

I don't watch AEW every week and I must have missed that show where Spears cut that promo, so this is all news to admittedly can be harsh on AEW, but I need to remind myself that at the end of the day, we are all human and experience human feelings. I have yet to lose a parent, so I can't imagine the pain and sorrow he must be going through. Thank you for videos and interviews like sympathize with him and like I said, I don't watch AEW all the time, but I did catch Spears on Dynamite this past Wednesday. I wish him, nothing, but the best. You're a perfect 10 in my book brother so long.

Honestly spears character on TV makes me wanna turn the channel, but his two interviews with CVV have been my favorite. He gave some motivational advice in the first one that still holds in my heart. It’s crazy how booking can make you feel for someone on and off screen.

I lost my grandma in October of last year and we saw it coming for a long time but then she had one final stroke and was on hospice for a week before passing. So I can relate to the fresh wounds of losing a relative, and I Shawn has my deepest condolences and empathy.

I’m rooting for Spears to get 1 more shot. Either way the guys winning at life. A new baby, beautiful wife and a good head on his shoulders. Barring a return to the ring, he’d be a great coach to any wrestling school. Not just professionally but personally as well. But he’s also very lucky to be able to refocus the love lost with his mom to his beautiful family.
