We waited 1 year. We can wait for another 6 months. Bump up production of covaxin.

Has pfizer done the trials, without trials India should not approve it, just coz it's a US company, it doesn't mean we have to change the rules for them.

It's 1.35 billion person market in comparison to their monopoly .
They need us more than we need them, Sputnik/covaxin/covishield will finish their market here by November, I guess

They asked for indemnity without conducting Local Trials, while local trials is really important, cos if the Pfizer vaccine worked in others country it may not work in India or it may worked. And if they are sure their vaccine is safe they wouldn't need indemnity

India should not succumb to such pressure tactics . Build up our own resources . It is a matter of time when we will have enough for ourself .

It is stupid to give in to such blackmail

Indemnity protection in exchange of distribution is a illegitimate demand. Taking India being a market similar to Brazil it's trying to pull what it did in Brazil.

Westerners appear humane only in face, but not in their hearts. Their claim to international competitiveness is also much the same (hollow in the heart)! A drug manufacturer demanding indemnity from adverse consequences of its medicine makes me laugh at its competence!

We don't need Pfizer, we have many let's ramp up production.
All vaccines are equally good and equally dangerous

Whatever happened to Product Liability ? Essential you would think in matters to do with medical products and safety.

Indians always make bizarre requests all the time in negotiations. For instance with EU and RCEP where Indians demanded that unemployed Indians to be allowed to work in Europe and Asia but not the other way around 😂😂😂😂

Pfizer isnt a good match for India its expensive in the EU its 19 euros a shot thats IR 1686 and needs extreme low temperature storage facilities that arent even available in some 1st world countries and certainly arent available all across India.

They shouldn't, we shouldn't have in the US either 🙄

Lots of comments here about wanting to sign the waiver (which we in the US have had to do for all three of our vaccines). Plenty of countries in the world would be glad to agree to get access to these vaccines. If you don't want them fine, they'll just go elsewhere.

That itself proves that it is not an effective medicine.

I am glad Indian government is not allowing Pfizer in country before trials as America says safety matters. So here they are safety matters even in India ✌🏻
