Season 2 (also named Part 2) of Amphibia was first hinted in a Twitter post by Matt Braly on April 24, 2019, and was officially announced on May 15, 2019, one day after the official trailer was released and one month and thirty-two days before the show's official premiere. It will premiere in 2020 stated by Braly.

Does anyone else want to know what happened to Sprig and Polly's parents at some point, or if that just me? One of my theories is that the Calamity Box was a Plantar family heirloom that accidentally sent their parents to Anne's world when Sprig and Polly were just tadpoles, leaving Hop Pop to raise them all by himself, and their parents to find their way through Anne's world. The box ended up in a thrift store and then transported Anne, Sahsa and Marcy to Amphibia.

I hope Anne will find the calamity box buried outside the plantar farm and She’s gonna feel betrayed when she finds out what hop pop did, how will the relationship with Anne and Sasha go once she conscious again and once she see’s her again, I want Anne to find her right shoe and wears both of them in season once she finds it, I would like to see Anne uses her blue sword in battle in season 2 and I want to see Marcy reuniting with Anne first and later Sasha and using her bow and arrows🏹 to shoot at her enemies and picking something up in newtopia and learning magic to help her get home and Marcy will be a good friend to Anne. And she might help the newts and be a hero in season 2. I can’t wait for season 2 in 2020
