I've been riding a set of 38mm Super Team carbon wheels for about 5 or 6 years now and they are still very true, still look great and I've never had an issue with them. I've even commented on this channel that you should review their wheels, so I'm very happy to see that you now have. I paid less than $300 US when I bought these wheels on sale on Amazon, and the majority of their wheels are still less than $500 US. Why anyone would purposely spend so much more money on a set of wheels that aren't really any better is a question I can't answer, other than this sport catering to the elitist athlete who wants to impress their friends with how much they spend on their bike. I've also been using the Assioma power pedals for quite a few years and they are amazing as well. The whole point of cycling should be to find the best value so that the most people can afford to participate at whatever level they choose. You can build a very solid race bike for under $3000 including the wheels and everything else. Keep up the great work reviewing these quality Chinese bikes/wheels/parts. Not all of them are top quality, but many are and by you trying them first, we can make smarter buying decisions.

I have some basic Superteam C50 wheels, 2yrs of use and around 16.000km on them, it's an insane value for money considering I've paid <$400 for them. I've had to true them only once in this whole time. They're very nice and comfortable to ride, not the stiffest but for everyday riding they do the job perfectly. And the brand seems very nice too, not the most famous but if you look for reviews their wheels are well talked about in general.

for me who get at max 10k kms a year, the super teams are more than enough. i'll leave the dt swiss to those who compete for a living. thanks for the review.

A mate brought one of these. I had the pleasure to give it a ride up hill. Boy these wheelset rides like a dream. The acceleration was very responsive. Very fast on the flat. I have own many Enves, zipps, fulcrum etc. I believe those thick carbon spokes are a game changer!

I have a pair of superteam tubeless compatible carbon rims for AU$579.65 that I used for commuting and they haven't missed a beat. Somehow they haven't come out of true considering the brutality of the messed up road i run them on.

Have a friend who has the rim brake superteam wheels and he said they're the best wheels he's ever had. He's been riding for decades and owned zipps, dt swiss etc.

Dear all other ‘YouTubers’ with the exception of PeakTorque. This is how you do a wheel test. Take notes.

I designed a ripple rim shown to FSA USA late 1980s, the dips release vortices going straight or crosswind, happy when I saw them appear in production.

Nice testing, cheers 🍺

Great test Cam, Thanks. Looks like a acceptable alternative to having training wheels/race wheels/gravel wheels all with different tires.

I have the 60 / 55mm wave version of this wheelset.
value for money and confirmed improved in cross wind and top speed comparing it to the older Gen 1 Hyper 65mm

For a casual rider like Me that still prefers high performance, Superteam is it! however, for those people that are willing to spend their money to upgrade, good on you! But remember, Like what Eddy Merckx said “ I don’t buy upgrade, I ride Up Grade!” ❤️🚴👏

I own an ENVE AR 4.5 SES wheel set and a Hunt 40 Carbon Aero Disc wheelset. The cost difference between the two wheel sets is approximately the same as your cost differences of your two wheelsets. The difference in performance between my two wheelsets is most notable when comparing the effects of winds at varying yaw angles. With the Enve wheels you can feel the wind pressure but they cut through this pressure with a controlled stability whereas with the Hunt wheels you feel more instability at the same speeds. Also the cost differential can be attributed to the better guarantee offered by the higher priced wheels such as Enve which has an unconditional replacement clause whenever one of its wheels is damaged. With the Hunt wheelset you only have a guarantee against manufacture defects. Granted you could still buy another 2 complete wheelsets with Hunt if you damaged your wheels so you would still be ahead in that respect. In retrospect I would still buy the Hunt wheelset vs the Enve as they are pretty much equal or surpass the Enve wheelset in all other aspects. (Weight, rolling resistance, aero effects and COST) Also when I purchased the Enve wheelset the Hunt wheelset had not yet been a proven and peloton test product. But now you see them in the TDF and coblestones of Paris-Roubaix

Oh Cam ! Thank you for reviewing these wheels. They are on my radar for a while now… I’ll pull the trigger soon, based on your and @ozcycle ‘s reviews… even with the little bad review that @CyclistHub gave them because one of his bearings broke… that might have been just plane bad luck I guess. Thanks mate !

It's also important how long the wheels last. DT Swiss hubs are great. Parts are always available.

Great value for what you get. Look sweet too. Wonder whether if they’d focused on putting the efforts into shark fin and golf ball instead into ratchet and bearings it’d be faster. They’re going the bling look and people looking for those wheels tend to want the brand and esteem too.

I think Superteam is a decent wheel for the money. I got two sets of superteam carbon wheels. 50’s V-shape on my fixie and 55’s U shape on my road bike. Both on 700x28c tires and the less expensive Notatec hubs.
The fixie has about 3000 miles and 1500 miles on the road bike…. So far, no issues at all and both true! I get compliments on how they look all the time too. 🍻 👍✌️
