In this video I show you one quick thing you can try to start your chainsaw if you flood it. I'll send another tip out soon.

We've all been there, right?

Thanks for watching my video.

When I flood it it just means a 15 min break for me.

I had a brand new 1/5th scale RC car here that wouldn't start - it flooded, spent nearly an hour trying to start, watched this guide, started 3rd pull, thank you, perfect - better than another suggestion which involved removing the carb completely !!!

I loved how he was barely pulling it too and then he turned the choke off and he really pulled on it

Well, 33 yrs of doing this has worked fine, but, glad to see it is new to someone.

Something we all used to know before fuel injection.

Yes! I agree most people wait but holding the throttle full open usually gets it to start

That's an invaluable piece of advice I wish I knew growing up.

Wow bro! Way to demonstrate the most dangerous way to start a saw

This is a great idea. It’s also very dangerous and it’s a good idea to put the break on so you don’t chop your leg off😂

Same as if you flood an older car. Gas pedal to the floor which opens the carburetor so you can get more air to the mixture.

Please lock the brake when you start it. At least.
I've worked for power line cleaning crews, I've seen accidents by chainsaws more than a couple times. I've seen people get hit in the face with the saw, legs, arms, these puppies don't discriminate

Got my flooded saw started! Cost me a leg but sometimes those things happen.

Thanks... After i flood it I usually just mess with it using the throttle and the bubble in various ways until it starts, now i know what from all the shit i do actually does the trick.

With a 660 or even a less heavy 661 it's really fun doing that. Haven't had the adventure of a bigger saw yet 😅

If the muffler is wet with fuel, it's definitely flooded. Removing the spark plug and pulling the starter cord with ignition switched off will help dry out a severely flooded engine.

It doesn’t wet the plug, that’s not necessarily what causes a flooded engine to not start. It simply has way too much fuel for the mixture to ignite. There could still be spark when it’s flooded but it still will not start.

I take the pulg out and pull cord a few times usually unfloods it
