I'd been trying for ages and I think I've just discovered if you clicked 'sync all to online' or something in onedrive it messes up the whole pc because I just switched it back and it looks like its all sorting now. hope this helps ive been stuck for ages

It's actually way easier than that, You delete the Game with the Globe Icon off of the desktop then you go to the Game on the Steam Library and you right click the game and then you click" Manage" and then you just click on "Add desktop shortcut" and it adds the game to your desktop with a fixed Icon

For me the game I installed was RimWorld, so at first I assumed that this was just the normal icon for RimWorld lol

Thank you for the explanation, but this is not a solution. With every game we will install from Steam, we will face the same problem

ok but i uninstalled a game and the shortcut remains, what do i do with that?

when I do this I can't play the game, it shows up and looks like it but when I click on it, it dose'nt work.
