CRX worker here, it’s most likely a train we use to make sure tracks are still usable and they get ran down to hold shape. We keep people on both sides to shut them down.

Hi, Railway worker here! This is very common amongst small private railroads and dead end tracks. The reason for the slow speed is for safety reasons. Usually small units like the ones in this video are sent out from one station/stop/depot or on railways that are not often used from one point to another to make sure it makes it. Everything is times and there are usually some sort of derail detector and gps devices on board. They are simply checking for track strength and if there are any anomalies and also to clear debris/snow/ice. My advice is to not climb aboard and touch anything cause these units are usually heavily monitored even if it looks like a rundown sh*t tank... But the one in the snowy scene on this short is definitely a a bombed out POS and i honestly have no clue how that thing is even running... But i have seen worse. Especially on those private lines. A class 1 railway would never have something like this. 😂

I am a conductor. We send old trains that still run on tracks that haven’t been used in a while. If they don’t come back then we know the tracks aren’t safe. I am 64 years old I've been a conductor since I was 38 it's been that way since I can remember and I know that is one of the trains they used because I was on that train

Burgerking employee here! It's used to check the tracks' integrity. Might have a few monitoring devices on board. Best to not enter these. You don't want to mess anything up.

this is a private track! they run through more remote areas or on a loop. They are used to check the track strength or just to see if the track is intact from A to B. Normally these engines are GPS tracked and watched so I would highly advise you leave them alone and NOT jump on to them!

It is just a crawler for track maintenance. Moves at a slow pace to keep the rails themselves clear of debris for other trains to come along and use. They usually have a GPS that tells the control center where they are so it knows if it has stopped, to send a crew to investigate why it has stopped and clear or repair the impedance.

It would be a perfect stuff for a horror attraction park. If that train goes on loops, then around its tracks there can be made a attraction park to make horror games, such as ghost run or some Halloween games.
