I think that in some way, Hilde not being girly DOES offer another angle into Reinhardt's trust. He's clearly very conflicted about having an heir, so someone overly feminine even if smart, would potentially make him feel pressured, especially after Sieg's death.

Watching the show for the handsome men, or watching the show for military otaku things, the show has both—“the boys bring the milkshake to the yard” or something—point is, once you’re here for the story we’re all on the ship and it’s a voyage on the Sea of Stars ✨

Is Oberstein going to ruin Reinhard's happiness? Absolutely. Reinhard is, as all else, secondary to his goal of keeping this Lohengramm Empire thriving, and while he believes Reinhard as the emperor is crucial to its success, he's ready to treat Reinhard as a person like an obstacle. Out of all the imperial characters, he's right there with Annerose and Hilda when it comes to not idealizing Reinhard the way his admirals do, but unlike them, he doesn't care for him any more than he cares for... well, any person, including himself.

The Terronist faction is underdeveloped and continues to be untill the end. One of the few problems with this show
