Winterberg is a ski resort in the Sauerland (Germany) with 27.5 km of ski slopes and 29 modern and fast ski lifts. The ski area consists of a number of mountains that are connected to each other: Kappe, Bremberg, Poppenberg & Sürenberg.

On the Kappe you will find a black ski slope for the more advanced skier/snowboarder, but also a blue ski slope. At the Bremberg there are some easier ski slopes, such as the Bremberg lift and Schneewittchen. The Poppenberg is one of the busiest places in the ski area, but has hardly any waiting times due to fast ski lifts, such as the eight-person chairlift at the Poppenberg.

Almost all ski slopes are snow-covered with artificial snow, making it a snow-sure area, even when temperatures are above zero for a while.

We start this tour at the Schneewittchen descent and then head towards the Kappe. Here we ski the blue descent to the Kappe chairlift and then go back towards the Bremberg. After having tried several ski slopes, we head towards the Poppenberg via the Büre Bremberg (blue) ski slope. On the Poppenberg we ski on to the Sürenberg and then to the Rauher Busch ski slope. This is a very easy practice ski slope where many ski instructors are also active. Finally, we ski a few more descents at the Bremberg.
