The Commissioner Vestager only applies rule decided in 2004. E.U. is liberal, so the consumer has the priority on companies. That's why this deal have been refused.

I have generally been in favor of the EU but this is a big drop down. Alstom and Siemens partnership could have prevented any further american interests to claim the hotspot. GE has been urging to aquire Alstom, but it's a wild move. This partnership could have strengthened the european inudstry in terms of stronger and efficient labor as well as higher profits with successful outcomes.
