In this video our friend Richard Johns tell us the story of how he built an AJS OHC V-Twin from scratch in his shed. The bike is actually a replica of a 1930s AJS motorcycle that was built to challenge the World Speed Record.

This is just fabulous! Reminds me of Mr. Millyard and his V twins. No wonder Britannia Ruled the Waves for so long.

Well done that Man, I'm 70 yrs old, and a biker back in the day. To see this fella bring back into existence these gorgeous machines brings a tear to my eye and a lump in my throat. We live in terrible times, with the boys clubs around the world running us all into extinction for there profit and Gain. This lift's the veils of corruption to bring a little sunshine of hope to my fellow brothers and sisters around a sad planet. Bless that Man.

This man is amazing! He did his own engineering, designing, molding and produced his own parts to make his own replica of 3 different motorcycles!

Absolutely incredible. Proper British craftsmanship at work there - back to when guys would build amazing things in their "sheds". I am available for immediate adoption by the way (well-used, balding 50's with odd accent in Mexico - but whatever - just throwing it out there 😀)

Proper, indeed.
It makes most “custom” motorcycles look kinda weak. I’m a Yank, and most of our builders create parade floats.

Thank you Mr. Johns, you made my day. What a pleasure to see you hold a giant middle finger to all those who say "you can't DO that".
Long live your spirit !
