Soul Flyers | Mont-Blanc Wingsuit Flight - The Longest Line

One more dream came true for the Soul Flyers, Fred Fugen, Vincent « Veush » Cotte and Aurelien «  Bras Noir » Chatard.

This incredible flight started with a fly by at the summit of the majestic Mont-Blanc, followed by the longest terrain flying wingsuit line ever!

From the summit to the opening of the parachute there is 3650m altitude difference, 7,5km horizontal distance for a 3 minutes and 5 seconds total flight! A terrain flight, discovering the Mont-Blanc like no one did before. Flying over the glaciers, ice cracks and cliffs was so intense, incredible and powerful!

Realizing such a flight, in wingsuit formation, requires communication between the pilots.
We were able to have a perfect coordination thanks to one essential piece of our equipment: our radios from Cardo Systems.

The planning to pull this off must have been insane. The height and speed gained were calculated to ensure you could find a path down the mountain and would not be forced to pull the chute and end up being rescued in the middle of some glacier or, worse, a crevasse. The planning and calculations would be just as interesting as the ride down. Fascinating!

I did have seversl dreams of doing just this without the Wingsuit. I’m 74 now and glad I didn’t know about this when I was in my 20’s. I might not have made it to this age.

Think I saw this same line flown about 10 years ago by a couple of French flyers, and remembered thinking it was incredible. The resolution was much lower back then on recordings, this one really takes it to a new level. Awesome flight!!

Insane ! I never jumped a wingsuit, did skydive a while but stopped because could not afford it anymore. I snowboard and mountain bike and though there are so many spectacular videos in these 2 sports with all the spins flips, jumps and drops... But I think nothing compares to the intensity and danger of proximity wingsuiting! The adrenaline just watching this ! Can only imagine what its like actually flying like this, only have a glimpse by having skydived before. Insane !
