Mele ʻAi Pōhaku, was written in 1893, for members of the Royal Hawaiian Band who had walked off their jobs, rather than sign an oath to the illegal government that was (and still is) occupying Hawaiʻi by violent force.

Liko and Laulani play this song on Pepeluali 1, 2016, outside of the US Naʻi Aupuni ʻAha at the Royal Hawaiian Country Club on Oʻahu. Like many others, they refuse to participate in this fakestate process, which is a part of the United Statesʻ attempt to manufacture consent for a "nation within a nation" government, rather than returning the government it had stolen, and setting Hawaiʻi free.

the United States Government began a gathering which they are calling an ‘Aha . groups and individuals of the Lāhui respond by living their philosophies and history

Mele ʻAi Pōhaku
by Eleanor Kekoaohiwaikalani Wright Prendergast

Verse 1:
Kaulana nā pua o Hawaiʻi
Kūpaʻa ma hope o ka ʻāina
Hiki mai ka ʻelele o ka loko ino
Palapala ʻānunu me ka pākaha

Famous are the flowers (children) of Hawaiʻi
Steadfast behind the land
When the bad-intentioned envoy arrives
With his sneaky document of thievery (annexation to the U.S.)

Verse 2:
Pane mai Hawaiʻi Moku o Keawe
Kōkua nā hono aʻo Piʻilani
Kākoʻo mai Kauaʻi o Mano
Paʻapū me ke one o Kakuhihewa

Hawaiʻi, island of Keawe, responds
The bays of Piʻilani (Maui) assist
Kauaʻi, island of Mano, gives support
United with the sands of Kakuhihewa (Oʻahu)

Verse 3:
ʻAʻole aʻe kau i ka pūlima
Ma luna o ka pepa o ka enemi
Hoʻohui ʻāina kūʻai hewa
I ka pono sivila aʻo ke kanaka

A signature will not be placed
Upon the enemy's paper
Who hoards lands acquired wrongfully
along with the civil rights of the people

Verse 4:
ʻAʻole mākou aʻe minamina
I ka puʻukala o ke aupuni
Ua lawa mākou i ka pōhaku
I ka ʻai kamahaʻo o ka ʻāina

We have no regret
For the heaps of money of the government
The stones are enough for us
For they are the wonderful food of the land

Verse 5:
Ma hope mākou o Liliʻulani
Aloaʻa e ka pono o ka ʻāina
Haʻina ia mai ana ka puana
Ka poʻe i aloha i ka ʻāina

We stand behind Queen Liliʻuokalani
Who holds the right of the land
The message is to
Of a people in love with the land

the US Na‘i Aupuni ‘Aha is an effort to manufacture consent and legitimacy for a further exploitation of the environment and the people who are a part of the environment
