I'm a dual citizen of the US/ Canada. I came to my place in Toronto roughly 6 yrs ago. Honestly I'm starting to think I'm going to sell my place in the states. The hatred and bigotry is out of control!
Frankly the right wing is literally destroying the country.

I don't understand why these pastors saying such hateful and potentially violent things aren't paid a visit by local police or the FBI. Freedom of speech does not protect you from making outright threats against people. Shut those churches down, revoke business licenses, whatever needs to be done - but those pastors should not be in ANY position of leadership spewing rhetoric such as advocating for the murder of a certain group of people.

I'm 34. I've been on testosterone blockers and estrogen injections for the last 2.5 years. Going all the way back to the 2nd grade, I recall praying to god every night to make me a girl when I awoke. There's nothing sexual in the mind of a 2nd grader; I simply knew something didn't feel right and that I'd rather have been born a girl. Gender dysphoria wasn't a thing when I was younger, and there were no resources at the time to help me voice how I felt. If I could have begun transitioning before puberty, I'd be the happiest person on earth. Instead, I figured everything out once I had the bone structure of a linebacker and the voice of James Earl Jones.

We're not perverts. We simply want to fix something that was wrong from literally day 1. We want to be safe and allowed to live our lives without government intervention or threats of violence; how difficult of a notion is that? Stronger people than I will stick around and fight this country's sprint into right-wing authoritarianism; many will lose their lives. I'm traveling to Canada and Ireland before the mid-terms; part vacation, part reconnaissance. It will be interesting to see how my parents, full supporters of me but hard republican voters at the same time, will feel when their only child leaves the country and never returns?

I remember in 1969 visiting a family who refused to see the movie: "Bonnie and Clyde" which was the #1 film in the USA at that time.
Their belief was that films should not "glorify" criminals....

To speak of politics in a church that has tax exempt is ILLEGAL. They should lose their exemption. This is morality of course but if they support a party or candidates, no exemption for Report religious groups that are political!!!
